Frances really is moving on to public school next year (as long as her parents can keep their fear and trepidation in check). Her preschool, Copper Beech Montessori, holds a moving on ceremony for all the kiddos who won't be returning for whatever reason in the fall. It was so bittersweet to watch.
Chandler explored the stage before all the graduates paraded in.
And then all the "big" kids came out.
That's Frances's teacher, Clarissa, leading the kids out. She describes Frances as a breath of fresh air, God love her.
The ceremony started with a Beatles medley, including Hello Goodbye. The singing was actually fairly disorganized, but that just made it hysterical for the adults.
And then we came to the "Dance However You Want" segment of the ceremony...
...also hysterical. Easily the funniest graduation ceremony I've ever seen.
Frances hasn't expressed any worry about starting her new school, but I'm sure her brain is working away at it nonetheless. Sometimes she seems to understand there will be new kids at her new school, but not always. I'm worried, honestly. When she started Copper Beech, her sleeping was derailed for months and months. She's older now, more mature, but, oh, a mother worries.
